No trip to Morocco is complete without a trip to the Sahara Desert. Experience the jewel of Morocco with a 3 Day 2 Night tour in the Merzouga desert. We offer flexibility of starting this tour from Marrakech or Fes.

This trip will take you through the many landscapes of Middle and High Atlas, including Tizi n’Tichka, Ouarzazate, Ait BenHaddou, Rose Valley, Todra Gorge, Merzouga, and into the High Atlas.

Spend one night in a riad in the Atlas, where you can stargaze and appreciate the nature and serenity of the Atlas Mountains at night, and one night in the Desert Camp, where you can experience the vastness of the majestic Sahara Desert.

The trip will proceed from Merzouga to Fez, where we will pass by Ziz Valley Gorge and Azrou, as well as local Barbary apes, and conclude with a drop-off at your hotel or riad in Fez in the evening.

Tour Plan

• Day 1 : Marrakech - Tizi n’Tichka - Ouarzazate - Ait BenHaddou - Rose Valley - Todra gorge or dades gorges
  Truly a trip to be remembered and etched into memory, this experience has been quoted by many of our clients as “one of the best nights of our lives” and “one of our best memories of Morocco”. Your trip will start from a pick-up at your hotel or riad in Marrakech in the morning. We will then drive towards Atlas Mountains and pass by many famous points along Atlas, including Tizi n’Tichka and Ouarzazate. We will then have the option to stop at Ait BenHaddou, one of the most well-preserve Kasbahs and a cultural heritage gem of Morocco. Many famous Hollywood movies were filmed here, including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, etc. We will then drive along Skoura Oasis and Rose Valley, where you may see thousands of rose bushes in full bloom during the spring season. We will spend the night in a quaint riad in Dades Valley or todra gorges and enjoy delicious traditional Moroccan food made by the riad with love. In the evening, you can stargaze in the patio of the riad and listen to the animals in the wilderness as you appreciate the sounds and senses of nature in the Atlas. • Day 2 : Tinghir - Todra Gorge - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi
  After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the riad, we will drive towards Todra Gorge, a spectacular sight around Tenerhir. The cliffs at this gorge reach 300m high, and we can often see nomad families conducting their daily lives, doing laundry or children playing. Here, you will have the opportunity to take a walk along the gorge and marvel at the beauty of Mother Nature. Your driver will await you at the other end of the gorge. Along the way, you will pass by many beautiful Kasbahs in the area, which is a photographer’s dream for many photo opportunities. We will then proceed to Merzouga. Once in Merzouga, your trip to the Desert Camp will start with some offroading followed by a camel ride to your desert campsite among the Erg Chebbi dunes. At the campsite, you can relax and read in one of the hammocks or chairs outside your tent, try sandboarding on a high sand dune, and drink mint tea as the Desert Camp staff welcomes you to their camp for the night. As dusk falls, you will enjoy a delicious Moroccan hot-food meal followed by evening entertainment of dancing and singing around a campfire with beating drums and Berber music. Your will then relax in one of the private well-appointed tents with a king bed, hot water, ensuite shower and western toilet, or sleep under the stars if you wish and feel the desert breeze against your skin. • Day 3 : Erg Chebbi - Ziz Valley - Fez
  Wake up early as dawn settles and the first rays of sun light up the orange desert sand, and feel the peacefulness and calmness of the Sahara as the world awakens and enjoy a breakfast prepared by the camp staff. Then you may choose to spend some more time in the desert by arranging for an exciting quad ride and crash along the sand dunes on an ATV. We will then proceed to transfer from Merzouga to Fez, passing by Ziz Valley Gorge and Azrou, as well as some local Babary Apes where you will have the chance to feed them. We will arrive at Fez around 6PM and you will be dropped off directly at your hotel or at the closest car-accessible point to your riad.
