Marrakech really is out-of-this-world beautiful. Charming and mystical in its own way, a day tour in this red city will leave you with a fuller appreciation of the importance of Marrakech to Arab and Berber culture.
The tour will start off in Jamaa El Fena, the open-air square that is the market for rows upon rows of juice stores, jugglers, snake charmers, and local musicians. Let us help you navigate the maze that is the wonderful Medina - taking you through alleys and stalls of spices, handmade rugs, woven goods, handmade leather goods, and magical lanterns. Here, you will experience true Moroccan culture - from shopping to bargaining (it’s a way of life - enjoy it!).
Take a coffee break at one of the courtyards of the quaint riads located within the Medina, each with an air of calamity and surprise behind its closed doors, as if you had entered another world far away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina past the unassuming door into the riad. You may also enjoy a lunch within the Medina at one of the many delicious restaurants or people-watch at the rooftops surrounding Jamaa El Fena.
We will then explore the many sights of the city, including Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Le Jardin Majorelle, Le Musee de YSL, Le Jardin Secret, Ben Youssef etc., and your guide will tell you about the history and importance of these sights to beautiful Marrakech.
The day will end with a drop-off at your desired location - either at Jamaa El Fena, where you may enjoy the sunset at one of the rooftop restaurants, at your desired restaurant for dinner, hotel, or at the nearest car accessible point to your riad.
