No trip to Morocco is complete without a trip to the Sahara Desert. Experience the jewel of Morocco with a 3 Day 2 Night tour in the Merzouga desert. We offer flexibility of starting this tour from Marrakech or Fes.

This trip will take you through the many landscapes of Middle and High Atlas, including Tizi n’Tichka, Ouarzazate, Ait BenHaddou, Rose Valley, Todra Gorge, Merzouga, and into the High Atlas.

Spend one night in a riad in the Atlas, where you can stargaze and appreciate the nature and serenity of the Atlas Mountains at night, and one night in the Desert Camp, where you can experience the vastness of the majestic Sahara Desert.

The trip will proceed from Merzouga to Fez, where we will pass by Ziz Valley Gorge and Azrou, as well as local Barbary apes, and conclude with a drop-off at your hotel or riad in Fez in the evening.

Tour Plan

• Day 1 : Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Merzouga
  Truly a trip to be remembered and etched into memory, this experience has been quoted by many of our clients as “one of the best nights of our lives” and “one of our best memories of Morocco”. Your trip will start from a pick-up at your hotel or riad in Fez in the morning. We will then drive towards Atlas Mountain and pass by many famous points along Middle Atlas where you will see a diverse range of landscapes, from desert plains to deep canyons. Along the way, we will pass by Ziz Valley Gorge and Azrou, as well as some local Babary Apes where you will have the chance to feed them. Once we reach MideIt, our trip towards Ziz Valley will commence as we descend into the beautiful Valley and eventually reach the outskirts of Merzouga. You will notice we are heading closer to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes in the Sahara Desert as you begin to get a glimpse of the tall, majestic sand dunes enroute to the camp. Merzouga is known for the stretch of never-ending apricot-colored sand sea that seemingly stretches as far as the eye can see. Once in Merzouga, your trip to the Desert Camp will start with some offroading to your desert campsite. At the campsite, you can relax and read in one of the hammocks or chairs outside your tent, sip on mint tea, or try sandboarding on a high sand dune, and drink mint tea as the Desert Camp staff welcomes you to their camp for the night. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner prepared by your camp hosts, and relax into your private tent with ensuite bathroom, hot shower, western toilet, hot water, and a king-sized bed. • Day 2 : Merzouga Sand Sea / Erg Chebbi
  Soak in the morning beams of sun light up the orange desert sand, and feel the peacefulness and calmness of the Sahara as the world awakens and enjoy a breakfast prepared by the camp staff. Then spend
• Day 3 : Merzouga - Todra Gorge
  You may choose to wake up early to catch the first rays of sun light up the orange desert sand, or sleep-in and enjoy a breakfast prepared by the camp staff. After breakfast, we will leave the desert and make our way up the Atlas Mountains to Todra Gorge, a spectacular sight around Tinerhir. The cliffs at this gorge reach 300m high, and we can often see nomad families conducting their daily lives, doing laundry or children playing. Here, you will have the opportunity to take a walk along the gorge and marvel at the beauty of Mother Nature. Your driver will await you at the other end of the gorges , along the way you will pass by many beautiful Kasbahs in the area, which is a photographer’s dream for many photo opportunities. We will spend the night in a quaint riad in Dades Valley or toudra gorges and enjoy delicious traditional Moroccan food made by the riad with love. In the evening, you can stargaze in the patio of the riad and listen to the animals in the wilderness as you appreciate the sounds and senses of nature in the Atlas. • Day 4 : Boumalne dades - Skoura Oasis - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
  Today we will head towards Ouarzazate and Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is one of the most well-preserved Kasbahs and a cultural heritage gem of Morocco. Many famous Hollywood movies were filmed here, including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, etc. Along the way, we will pass by Skoura Oasis and Rose Valley, where you may see thousands of rose bushes in full bloom during the spring season. We will then make our way to the hairpin turn route of Tizi n’Tichka, where you will have the opportunity to take in the dramatic drive as we descend the Atlas Mountain towards Marrakech leaving behinds views of snow-capped mountains, green valleys, and Berber villages. We will arrive in Marrakech around 6PM and you will be dropped off directly at your hotel or at the closest car-accessible point to your riad.
